Our Sidewalk Sale starts officially on Thursday, but, as a special customer, you are invited to shop early. We will have everything out beginning at noon on Wednesday, June 20th. You can get your choice of 800 bolts of cotton fabric at 30% to 50% off.

There is a great selection from Free Spirit, Moda, Benartex, RJR, Marcus, In The Beginning and more. There is a selection of Batiks, florals – large, bright prints and more. All Sidewalk Sale fabric is priced $4.99 to $6.99.

Our Sidewalk Sale hours are:
Wednesday, June 20: noon – 8 pm
Thursday, June 21: 10 am – 8 pm
Friday, June 22: 10 am – 8 pm
Saturday, June 23: 10 am – 4 pm

Nine Patch Using Charm Squares

Dear Friends,

This week I wanted to share a new pattern with you. It uses 54 – 5″ Charm Squares and 1 yard of fabric for the front of the quilt.

Nine Patch Using Charm Squares
Finished Size: Approx. 41″ x 54″

Fabric Needed:
2 Charm Packs (42 – 5″ squares in each – 54 squares used in this quilt)
1 yard Fabric for Alternating Squares
1 5/8 yard for Backing

Cutting:
Alternating Fabric – Cut 2 strips – 14″ x WOF (width of fabric), cut those into 6 – 14″ squares

Sewing Instructions:
1. Make 6 Nine-Patch Blocks using the Charm Squares randomly.

 

 

 

2. Assemble blocks by alternating Nine-Patch Blocks with the Alternating Blocks to form four rows with three blocks in each row (see finished quilt below).

 


Finishing:
3. Sew top to backing, right sides together, leaving a “turn” hole of 14″ on one end. Trim backing to same size as front.
4. Lay batting on flat surface.
5. Lay top/backing on the batting and trim batting.
6. Turn and tie.
7. Stitch opening by hand.
