We are starting the Blog again. All three of the owners (Anita, Ann and Brian) will take turns writing the posts. In case you don’t know who we are, we will share information about each of us in the next few blogs.

I, Anita, have been married for 49 years to a wonderful man who farms our 660 acre farm near Leslie. We had dairy cattle for over 35 years. Now he just raises corn and beans. We have two sons and one daughter.

Our oldest son and his wife have a farm near Hudson. He sells livestock feed and they raise over 300 rabbits, which they show nationally. They also judge rabbits in the United States and have judged in Japan.

Our other son is a CPA and lives in Rochester. He and his wife have three children – a 13 year old son, a 6 year old son and a 4 year old daughter.

Most of you know Ann who is a partner at Country Stitches. Her husband worked for the city of Lansing for 33 years and now works for the city of Battle Creek. She has two sons who have both worked here so you may recognize them. Jonah is a sophomore at the University of Michigan (Go Green – we all graduated from MSU) and Bryce is a senior at East Lansing High School.

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you enjoy the day. Everyone is coming to my house for a turkey dinner.

One last thought: As most of you know, a Fat Quarter measures 18” x 22”. I recently read that we shouldn’t call them Fat Quarters. We should call them “Weight Challenged Quarters” or “Pleasingly Plump Quarters”.
